Great to have you in our community (and good idea to link from your blog!). With Helium’s new upfront payments plus ad revenue share for minimal community participation (I see you have your rating star — great effort!), you and other writers can really advance writing careers and earning goals here.
You should try your hand at some Marketplace titles too: http://www.helium.com/marketplace, where you’ll see the highest earnings. Contests are fun and some of the citizen journalist awards (Pulitzer Center for Crisis Reporting and One World) pay $125 per winning article.
Helium is also a supportive writing community. Feel free to write to me and I can connect you a community site steward who can help you find titles which interests you or help you create new ones.
