The beginning
|
Silvercode is an Ontario
registered business based in
Ottawa, Canada. Even before Silvercode was officially formed, we were working on
websites and doing PC repair as early as 1999.
|

Business picks up
|
Early in 2001, after Silvercode became official, we were approached to design and
build websites such as Ottawa
Eguide - a local movie review website, and later The Discount Depot - a local business
that helps fundraising groups. During that time David was leading Silvercode in their
software development contracts and PC repair work. Everyone was
stretched thin!

Silvercode expands
|
At this point there was too much work for the the small Silvercode team. David
assembled a team of new high-powered experts to add to the already awesome team
in place. Silvercode now includes professional graphics, writing, online help,
and databases in addition to the original websites and PC repair. Our management style
allows us to keep our overhead down, and continue providing you with quality
service at reasonable prices. The "end-to-end solutions" is truer now more than
ever!

Helping the community
|
Silvercode is committed to helping the community grow and thrive. We have provided
non-profit groups with free web development and web hosting services. We have provided
volunteer computer repairs and support and purchasing reccomendations to
Arlington Woods Church.
Now through
City Club we are providing a discount on our services to support local
fundraising groups such as schools, and youth organizations. We also provide discounted rates to
non-profit organizations such as Destiny Productions.
The founder of Silvercode believes that if you don't give something back to the community,
you might as well not exist.

The man in charge, David Hitchcock, brings to the company years of software design experience
from his jobs in the operating system, telecom, and application design industries.
His projects have included device drivers, project management apps, IDEs, in-depth game environments
in QNX and
Linux, and
low-level ATM telecom software. He also has experience in customer support, quality assurance, project management,
computer equipment purchasing, and computer business concerns. David has continually upgraded his
knowledge and skills to continue providing you with high-end products and services. All this and over 4 years
in web design as well - David is a true technological renaissence man!
